Rebecca is the perfect addition to our Bean Team. She has a wicked sense of humour and she’s smart as a whip. Plus, she’s a spreadsheet nerd and keeps the team in check while delivering financial information in her English accent. What more could we ask for?
“After returning to work from parental leave, the idea of being able to do what I love in such an inclusive environment, where everyone has a voice, was far too exciting to pass up. I get to do what I’m good at, surrounded by like-minded individuals who really get along and respect one another. MT&Co really suits who I am, both professionally and personally. I feel like I can truly be myself here.”
Rebecca’s strength is understanding the nature of the firm she is in and finding the best possible policies and practices to adopt. On multiple occasions she has been in charge of creating a change in business plan and worked diligently to have it executed. She has also taken charge of implementing new financial software, working closely with multiple departments to fit the firms specific business needs. She excels in her ability to keep our accounting department organized, and she does this by using her favorite weapon, Spreadsheets. Her love for her job and desire to create a well-functioning firm make her a great asset to the MT+Co team.
Rebecca has been working in the legal finance industry for over 17 years. Her expertise not only spans many areas of legal finance but also managing accounting departments and overseeing transitional projects to create a better work process for the firm.
Rebecca hails from England, where her financial expertise was put to use in London, for several of the “Top 20” UK Law Firms, before immigrating to Canada. She has also completed a ‘Management for Success’ course.
Rebecca spent some time living in Banff for a ski season, where she met her Canadian husband. They now enjoy the laidback life of Squamish with their rambunctious son Jude, and two wiener dogs. She also loves Prince. Not the Royal one, the Paisley Park one! Rebecca enjoys a stiff gin while watching formula one racing and she proudly calls herself a bird geek.
