Joelle is an experienced commercial and business litigator specializing in complex civil litigation primarily in the areas of contractual disputes, shareholder and transactional disputes, corporate governance and business torts.  Joelle has appeared as counsel in the BC Supreme Court (including success in two recent trials involving alleged breaches of commercial contracts and breach of confidence), the BC Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal, as well as before regulatory bodies including the BC Securities Commission, the Law Society of British Columbia, and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.  She also regularly acts for clients through alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.  Joelle is often consulted for strategic, results driven advice prior to or at the outset of a dispute arising.
