We love Brent and we’d like to have him in the Vancouver office every day. He’s from the South Surrey/White Rock area though, and spends a lot of time at his other base, located at:
404 – 1688 152nd Street
Surrey, BC V4A 4N2
If you ever need help reaching him, don’t hesitate to give us a shout at the main office!
“I like the people at MT, and the approach to law and work. It is refreshing to see a firm that looks at its staff as just as valuable as its lawyers. Law firms a service business and should look at themselves as such and invest in their people. Client satisfaction does not begin and end at the lawyer – it takes an entire team to deliver qualify legal services and conversely, no matter how good the lawyer may be, if they don’t have a great staff around them, the qualify of service will suffer and the client will become dissatisfied.”
Brent’s main areas of legal practice are mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, trusts, commercial real estate, commercial law, and commercial lending (that’s a lot of commercial!).
Brent graduated from SFU with a major in communications and a minor in history. No language skills despite being married to someone of Vietnamese descent and listening to her speak Vietnamese every day for 15+ years. He tried to learn Vietnamese but stopped upon finding out there were over 10 ways to say hello. Brent completed the two year in-depth tax course put on by the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation and has been for six years.
Brent loves to travel and explore new destinations. Conversely, his kids are less than enthused to get on a plane and go to Africa or Asia or Europe. He is attempting to get in shape to do a bike riding trip (aka an excuse to drink wine) through Tuscany in June with a friend who lives in Munich. Right now he would have difficulty riding on a flat surface for a half an hour. He has two daughters, aged 14 and 15, and they do not listen to a word he says at this stage of their lives. He has two shih tzu dogs, Studly and Bentley, who are the love of his wife’s life and they often say they should have had more dogs than kids. The dogs listen to them (sort of).
